Future City Program

Volunteers/ Mentors needed for Future City completion teams (6th, 7th and 8th graders)

The Richland Public Library has registered as an educator for Future City.    http://futurecity.org/

Future City is a program for 6th, 7th & 8th grade students to help them with the things engineers do: Identify problems, brainstorm ideas, design solutions, test and retest, build and then share the results. The kids work in groups with a mentor to design a city 100 years in the future using Sim City.  Then they make a physical representation of their city and write papers with their determinations.
